Hume Communications Inc.
Hume Communications Inc (HCI) is a company that offers independent professional advice and assistance to municipalities and community organizations.
Founded in 1988, HCI today assists City Councils and local governments, community and health organizations, business associations, community and civic groups and municipalities on how to build more creative, stronger, prosperous, healthier and more sustainable communities.
The President of HCI is Gord Hume who has been in media, corporate management, civic government and the public sector, as well as being a successful entrepreneur and business owner. Gord was elected to London City Council four times and brings a unique perspective and insider’s knowledge to difficult municipal challenges.
Gord is the author of “Cultural Planning for Creative Communities”, published in 2009, already in 15 countries around the world and in its third printing. His second book, “The Local Food Revolution”, is stirring considerable interest amongst municipal leaders. His third book, “Taking Back Our Cities”, promises to be even more provocative as it explores why local government has become the most important level of government today.
